Another collaboration with Robert Gay of Thoughtbarn, this project's limited budget encouraged resourcefulness, recycling, and paying the crew in beer.
The venue needed a quick and inexpensive identity to mark new ownership. We transformed the existing front fence into a woven abstract banner. The varying shades of green in the 60-foot linear-foot fence are made from pallet strapping sourced entirely from the dumpster of one Austin lumber distributor.
Over the years, Robert and I have continued to make installations at the Mohawk including both stages, the wood wrap, the indoor “flying eagle lighting truss," the solar-powered marquees, various lighting installations, and the birds hanging from the ceiling.
